In my words

Veneers are some of the most rewarding work I do, and some of the most exacting. A fraction of a millimeter in length, or one step too bright in shade, is the difference between a smile that looks natural and one that looks "done." That is exactly the kind of detail my specialty training was about.

Before anything is touched, we talk about what bothers you and what you would like to see in the mirror. I will show you what is realistic, what it involves, and whether something simpler - whitening, bonding, or reshaping - would get you there instead.

How I approach veneers

    We plan the smile first

    Photographs, models and a frank conversation. You see the proposed shape and length before we commit to anything.

  2. 02

    Conservative preparation

    I remove as little enamel as the design allows. You leave with well-made temporaries, so you are never without a smile.

  3. 03

    Porcelain made for you

    Each veneer is custom made to the shape and shade we chose together, then tried in so you can approve it.

  4. 04

    Bonding and fine-tuning

    The veneers are bonded, your bite is checked carefully, and I see you again to make sure everything feels right.

Do veneers look fake?

They shouldn't. Natural teeth are not flat white - they have translucency, texture and slight variation. Well-designed porcelain copies that. We choose the shape and shade together, and you approve them before they are bonded.

Will you have to shave down my teeth?

Usually a thin layer of enamel from the front of the tooth, and sometimes very little at all. It depends on the position of your teeth and the change you want. I will tell you exactly what your case involves before we start.

How long do veneers last?

With good home care, regular check-ups and a night guard if you grind your teeth, porcelain veneers can last for many years. Like natural teeth, they can chip if used to bite hard objects.

Veneers or bonding - which is right for me?

Bonding uses tooth-colored resin and is often completed in a single visit; it is a good option for smaller repairs. Porcelain is stronger and holds its color better for larger changes. I offer both and will recommend the simpler one whenever it will do the job.
