I am a prosthodontist - one of the roughly 2% of dentists who completed specialty training in restoring and replacing teeth. I practice at Dental Symmetry in Plainview, on Long Island, and I teach the same work to dental residents.
How I practice
Careful work, explained plainly.
My work covers reconstructive, cosmetic and implant dentistry: implant surgery and implant restoration, full-mouth rehabilitation, full-arch treatment, and the everyday restorations most people need at some point - veneers, crowns and bridges.
Because I trained in both the surgical and the restorative sides of implant dentistry, I can plan a case from the final tooth backwards and carry it through myself. And because I spent years in hospital programs, I am comfortable with the complicated situations - and with nervous patients.
My approach is evidence-based and centered on you. You will always hear the options, including the simpler ones, along with what I would choose for my own family. The pace is yours to set.

Comprehensive prosthetic rehabilitation, esthetics and implant-supported restorations. I was the only resident accepted into my class. Crowns, bridges, partial and complete dentures, overdentures, and maxillofacial prosthetics for patients rebuilding after surgery, trauma or congenital conditions.

More than a decade of teaching
Teaching residents keeps me honest: you cannot explain a treatment plan to a room of young dentists unless you can defend every step of it. I have held clinical teaching appointments at:

The specialty
What is a prosthodontist, exactly?
Prosthodontics is the recognized dental specialty for restoring and replacing teeth. After dental school, a prosthodontist completes three more years of full-time training in crowns, bridges, veneers, dentures, implants and the reconstruction of whole mouths. Only about 2% of dentists in the United States have done so.
In practice it means this: whether you need one front tooth to match its neighbor or every tooth rebuilt, it is the work I trained for.

When I am not at the office you will most likely find me with my kids - often at the ice rink, cheering from the stands at hockey games. I am active in my synagogue and make time for study, which keeps the rest of life in balance.
